Dr. Laurie graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science with her Honours BSc and Doctor of Optometry degrees in 2007 after completing a four-month externship in ocular therapeutics at the Veteran’s Hospital in Muskogee, OK.   In her graduating class, she was recognized with the EJ Chisholm Memorial award for proficiency in pediatric optometry.  She has been practicing in Norwich since 2011, and took-on ownership of the practice in 2014.

Dr. Laurie prides herself on taking the time to understand your unique visual demands and make personalized recommendations that suit your lifestyle.  She believes you should be an active participant in your health care, so she is happy to explain the examination procedures and results in as much detail as you are comfortable with.  She also encourages you to ask questions, even if you don’t think of them until you get home!

Jen joined the Foresight team in 2014.  In 2016, she became certified as an Optometric Assistant.  She is our office manager behind the scenes and assists the doctor in running supplementary tests and teaching people how to use contact lenses.

Jen is your primary contact in our optical dispensary; her favourite assignment is to use her keen sense of style to select the frames we carry and help you select the perfect frame for your new glasses!   She meets with all of our frame vendors regularly to ensure we carry the most current fashions… probably why she herself has so many pairs of glasses!
